Unlocking excellence, driving change

An empathetic and effective leader and successful entrepreneur with over 25 years’ experience in non-profit communications and journalism.

I am a strategist, facilitator, coach and editor, with an in-depth knowledge of some of today’s most pressing social and environmental issues.

I set up and ran my own consultancy, di:ga strategy and communications, which I sold to the employees in 2023.

Now I help people and organisations solve problems, design and implement strategy, and drive positive change.

It is a privilege to help others develop and communicate their ideas, lead and inspire teams, and realise their goals.

  • I work with leaders and aspiring leaders to explore their motivations, overcome their fears, and build competence and confidence. Wherever you are at in your career, and whatever your goals, I will listen and reflect – asking the right questions to help you find the answers.

  • Charities and social-purpose businesses are facing some strong headwinds: a lack of trust, a radically changed media and digital landscape, and increased polarisation. I can work with you to adapt your strategy and test your assumptions in order to respond effectively to the challenges of today.

  • In an ever-noisier world, good, clear writing that is based on evidence but connects at an emotional level has never been more important. As AI churns out more and more vanilla content, I can help you produce writing that cuts through and sets you apart from the crowd.

  • The media environment is changing fast. What used to be orthodoxy is no longer. I can help you understand how social and digital media is rewriting the playbook for campaigning, fundraising and advocacy, and adapt your tactics and content accordingly.

  • “Working with Amy genuinely changed how I see myself and my career. Her rare blend of directness and compassion helped me build confidence, communicate with clarity, and find a renewed sense of direction. Her influence continues to shape how I show up every day.”

    - Chhavi Bansal, Analyst, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation

  • “For over a decade Amy has been our ‘go to’ when we’ve needed guidance on our communications. We work with her both because of her exceptional strategic communications capabilities and also because she is a trusted friend and adept facilitator. She is wise, astute and experienced.”

    – Nicola Reindorp, CEO, Crisis Action

  • “Amy has a real knack for distilling complexity, honing arguments and sharpening recommendations. She has been invaluable in helping us make our case effectively. Beyond this, she is a pleasure to work with.”

    - Richard King, Senior Research Fellow, Chatham House

  • “Amy helped us write and edit a report on climate finance. She and her colleague took dense research and transformed it into a clear, concise briefing which was well-received by policy makers and other targets. She is strategic and writes really well.”

    - Debbie Hiller, Head of the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance, MercyCorps

  • “Working with Amy during a time of considerable internal and external change was invaluable. Her media training gave me real confidence and her strategic guidance and calm, thoughtful approach made a significant difference to the organisation and to me personally.”

    - Kris Gibbon-Walsh, CEO, FareShare

  • "Amy's one of the sharpest and loveliest people i've worked with. I've yet to meet anyone who can rival her skillset and her capacity to deliver brilliant results again and again, whatever the context."
