Nurturing self-belief and unlocking potential in a young, female leader
Over the course of six months I mentored a talented young policy analyst who was exploring the next steps in her career. We worked together to build confidence and clarity and define and refine her ambitions. I encouraged her to believe in herself and her strengths, and reach for opportunities that would be a good fit.
Founding and selling di:ga and mentoring new CEO
I founded my own communications and strategy agency in 2012 and sold it eleven years later to an Employee Ownership Trust, which holds the shares on behalf of the employees. I worked with the team to facilitate a smooth leadership transition, handing over the reins in summer 2025 to a talented and committed colleague.
Strategy, facilitation and recruitment for leading peacebuilding organisation
Crisis Action are long-time friends and collaborators and it has been a privilege to support their important work to protect civilians in conflict for over a decade. I have helped with recruitment, mentoring, facilitation, writing and editing, and campaigns.
Communicating complexity for Chatham House
Chatham House produces hugely important, high quality research on critical issues shaping our world. I have worked with the organization since 2012 to help edit and promote their reports on climate change, energy and resource security, deforestation and the circular economy.
Climate Finance report for Mercy Corps
Ahead of the UN climate change conference in Azerbaijan in 2024, I helped write a report for Mercy Corps and the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance on climate finance. The report was very well received by policymakers and helped inform negotiations on a new climate finance goal.
Media training and messaging at FareShare
FareShare is a national food redistribution charity, helping to prevent food waste and tackle hunger. I worked with their CEO, Board and leadership team during a period of transition and challenge to support key messaging, media appearances, and brand strategy.
Supporting Friends of the Earth’s first co-CEOS
I supported Friends of the Earth’s first co-CEOs during their tenure, which started in February 2020 and ended four years later. It was a challenging period, with a new strategy needing to be implemented during a global pandemic. I helped with crisis communications, recruitment and strategy, acting as a sounding board and senior advisor.
